September marks an important time of year for the Osprey. As the air gets cooler and students return to school, these unique North American birds of prey prepare to depart from their summer-time nests here in Connecticut and make their way south for the winter. Be sure to wish our Osprey a safe journey until we see them again at the end of March, when they begin to return to CT from a long winter abroad!

Please visit the kiosk by our Birds of Prey Exhibit for more information on the Osprey.

Mommy, Me & Nature

Mommy, Me & Nature

It's NEVER too early to get your child outside! Come explore the wonders of nature together with your little one at the Nature Center. You and your toddler (18-36 months) will sing songs, listen to stories and experience all the delights of nature in an unhurried atmosphere created by our Early Childhood teachers. Mommy, Me and Nature classes will be led by our beloved Judy Gilroy in our age appropriate Marsh Room.
