Summer Nature Program3-9 year-old campers in the Summer Nature Program will be placed in groups with other kids their age to explore age-appropriate activities that ensure a challenging and fun experience. Each session features activities aligned with the camp-wide theme that lead campers to new worlds of learning and fun! Age 3 (attending a 3's preschool in the fall)A nurturing and fun environment that stresses developmental activities and emphasizes allowing children to explore and express themselves through art, music, movement and dramatic play.
Ages 4-5 (entering 4's preschool or Kindergarden in fall)Stimulating programs focus on sensory exploration and active learning situations with hands-on opportunities emphasizing science, art, movement and dramatic play. Fun games and stories encourage interaction with the environment and tie in with the session theme.
Ages 6-7 (entering 1st or 2nd grade in fall)Daily adventures include live animal visits, outdoor exploration, field games and art experiences designed to challenge and stimulate the increasing ability and interests of this age group. Instructors will lead small groups on an odyssey of adventures tied to the session theme to promote social growth and creativity.
Age 8-9 (entering 3rd & 4th grades in fall)This age group will work with our instructors on session-long projects and in-depth experiments that help develop social growth, creativity and leadership skills. Campers will have the opportunity to showcase their experiences to the entire camp community and share their activities with youngher campers at the end of each session.
