2012 Summer Camp

Registration Begins February 25!

Our summer camp guarantees fun, exciting and adventurous activities for every camper. Through hands-on, age appropriate activities, your child will participate in an action-packed summer camp experience filled with field games, art, music, nature explorations, projects, experiments, camping and much more!

Summer camp is divided by age group into weekly sessions, each with a unique camp-wide theme. Regardless of your child's age or what session you sign up for, all camp groups are assured the following:

  • Visits from our Buddy Naturalists
  • Live animal presentations
  • Counselor-camper ratio of 1:8 or less for ages 4-7
  • A maximum of 12 campers per group for age 3 and 16 per group for all other ages
  • Invitation for parents and siblings to participate in a weekly song circles and camp wide celebrations

Age Groups

Age 3     early June - mid-August
We create a nurturing and fun environment that stresses developmental activities and allows children to explore and express themselves through art, music, movement and dramatic play. Activities may include scavenger hunts, nature trail walks, large motor games, critter/bug searches, stories and more.
  • Attending a 3's or 4's preschool in the fall
  • Meets half days four days a week (no camp on Wednesdays)
  • Campers must be 3 years old by June 1
Age 4 - 5     early June - mid-August
Stimulating programs focus on sensory exploration and active, hands-on learning situations that emphasize science and art through movement and interaction with the environment. Activities may include large group games, gardening & baking, pond & forest exploration, stories and more!
  • Entering 4's/5's preschool or Kindergarten in the fall
  • Half day or full day sessions meeting Monday - Friday
Age 6 - 7     mid-June - mid-August
Daily adventures are designed to challenge and stimulate the increasing ability and interests of this age group. Instructors lead camp groups on an odyssey of extended outdoor explorations and challenges that promote social growth and creativity. Activities may include the following: bird watching, pond study, shelter building, gardening & composting, group field games, and more!
  • Entering 1st or 2nd grade in fall
  • Full day sessions meeting Monday - Friday
