Halloween Spooktacular

Get into the Halloween spirit by joining us for this spooktacular celebration, NCNC-style. We'll learn about and meet some creepy critters who remind us of All Hallows Eve, before getting the chance to make our very own slime. We'll wrap up the evening by enjoying a one-of-a-kind jack-o-lantern experience. That's right, NEW this year is our 1st Annual Jack-o-Lantern Carving Contest!

Devil's Den Hike!

This November... meet our Naturalists at Devil's Den Preserve in Weston (the Nature Conservancy's largest nature preserve in Connecticut) for a healthy & invigorating fall hike. This four-mile loop will be strenuous so please bring comfortable shoes, layers and a water bottle. Feel free to pack a lunch and stay for a picnic! More details will be provided upon registration.

Come enjoy the Nature Center! Take a hike on our two miles of trails that criss-cross the site (including a 350-foot marsh boardwalk).

Go on a scavenger hunt. The New Canaan Nature Center is located on a 40-acre site which features unusual habitat diversity offering a variety of horticultural experiences for the visitors as well as a live Birds of Prey Exhibit, a variety of gardens, a Greenhouse and a Visitors Center which houses our Discovery Room, Art Exhibits and the Nature Gift Shop. Come explore!
